FAQ

Questions, Answered Straight.

Everything partners ask before starting a program. If your question is not here, it is one phone call away.

Programs & Ownership

What is the difference between private label and co-branded?

Private label products carry only your brand; we stay invisible to your customers. Co-branded products show both names, pairing your channel strength with an established engineering brand. Co-branded launches faster and carries less risk; private label carries more margin and builds an asset that is entirely yours.

Who owns the brand and the IP?

You own your brand, always. Design and IP ownership depends on the program: our platforms stay ours under private label and ODM, your specification stays yours under OEM and contract manufacturing, and everything built for a turnkey launch belongs to the brand we build for you. It is defined in writing before production starts.

Can we switch programs later?

Yes, and it is a common path. Many partners start co-branded to prove a category in weeks, then move the winners into a full private label program once demand is real. The SKUs, packaging learnings, and sales history carry over.

Do programs include territory or exclusivity terms?

They can. Territory, channel restrictions, and exclusivity are commercial terms we scope during program design and put in the agreement, matched to the volume commitments that justify them.

What are the minimum order quantities?

MOQs are program-based and depend on the category and how deep the customization goes. A logo-and-packaging program sits far below one with custom tooling. We put real numbers on the table during program design, before you commit.

How does pricing work?

Pricing is quoted per SKU and volume after program design, when we know the category, the customization depth, and the certifications involved. There are no licensing fees on your own brand.

Products & Engineering

Do we need our own product designs?

No. Private label and co-branded programs run on proven, certified platforms with hundreds of finished molds. If you do have designs, OEM and contract manufacturing put our factories behind them.

Can you modify an existing platform product?

Yes. Custom tooling for a unique silhouette, laser-etched logos, custom grilles and finishes, adjusted acoustics, and full retail packaging are all standard customization paths.

Can you build a fully custom product?

Yes. OEM programs build to the specification you own, and contract manufacturing produces your complete design with batch-level QC. NDAs come before we see your first drawing.

Which product categories do you cover?

Low voltage lighting, outdoor audio, and outdoor living accessories, from landscape and hardscape fixtures to burial subwoofers, pergolas, and fire features.

Can products include smart controls?

Yes. App-controlled dimming, zoning, scheduling, and Bluetooth audio are part of the platform range, with in-house PCB and firmware engineering behind them.

Compliance & Quality

Who handles certifications?

We do, end to end. UL, ETL, and FCC coordination runs through pre-vetted accredited labs including Intertek, TUV, and UL, with pre-compliance review so products pass on the first attempt.

What is a golden sample?

The approved reference unit for your product. You sign it off before mass production starts, and every batch is measured against it. Nothing goes to production without that signature.

What quality control happens before shipping?

Batch inspection against the golden sample, with documented reports, plus IP65/IP67 waterproof testing and salt spray corrosion testing where the product calls for it. Factories are ISO 9001 certified.

Logistics & Supply

Where does our inventory live?

In over 60,000 square feet of U.S. warehousing in Chalfont, Pennsylvania, backed by a distribution network with hubs in California, Shenzhen, Taiwan, and Vietnam.

Do you handle imports and customs?

Yes. Ocean freight (FCL and LCL), air freight for urgent stock, customs brokerage, and DDP programs where one landed price per unit covers everything to your door.

How do reorders work?

Forecasting and reorder support are built into every program, with warehouse management system visibility into your stock so replenishment happens before you run out, not after.

Getting Started

How fast can we get to market?

Co-branded programs launch in as little as 6 to 12 weeks. A full private label program typically runs 6 to 9 months from first conversation to first shipment. Building the same capability internally is usually a 12 to 18 month project.

What does the first call look like?

About 30 minutes on your channel, the categories you are considering, and your goals. We come back with a recommended program model and a realistic timeline. NDA first if you prefer.

What do you need from us to prepare a quote?

Your channel and customer base, the categories you want, target volumes if you have them, and how much of the product and brand you want to own. From there we scope the program and put numbers on it.

Still Have Questions?

A 30-minute call usually answers all of them, and gets you a program recommendation on top.
